"MacGyver" your beauty in 1-step, 10 ways!

MacGyer is known for finding his way out of a crazy situation by only using 1 or 2 random items.  In the spirit of using what you have to get what you need, I introduce you to "MacGyer-ing your beauty" minus the mullet!

Most of what your skin needs can be found in your kitchen not a drug store.  I love all natural and easy way to get great skin.  I offend recommend using honey, oatmeal, & fresh aloe.

This time I'm taking it one step further by listing the 10 best items to keep on hand for any skin type or condition.

.:: Directions for all masks below ::.

  • Apply a thin layer all over your face and rinse off in 10-15 minutes with warm water.
  • Apply a mositurizer (oil free if needed) if your skin feels tight

.:: For Acne-Prone Skin ::.

Banana Mask- will make your skin feel smooth, fresh, & clean.  Mash one medium very ripened banana and spread it onto your face.

Milk of Magnesia Mask- trade in rough skin for smooth, clear skin. Build a layer all over your face with a cotton ball or small brush. Wait until it dries, then rinse off.

Apple Cider Vinegar Toner - combine the vinegar with two parts water and use a cotton ball to apply it to your face as a toner. This will soften and exfoliate your skin, reduce acne scars, and oil production. *Note- this will smell like dirty socks but it’s worth it!

.:: For Dry Skin ::.

Avocado Mask— contain a hefty dose of a youth vitamin called, potassium.  They are also very rich and amazing for dry skin.  Mash an avocado and leave it on your skin. Rinse and admire your glow.

Olive, Coconut, or Avocado Oil — dab the oil on your lips or leave it on your face overnight. Natural oil provides a good source of moisture to keep your skin soft, hydrated, reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

Egg Whites- no yolks, are great to add to masks to firm your skin.  Your skin will feel tight during & after you rinse.

.:: For All Skin Types ::.

Baking Soda Cleanser- can be use as an exfoliant for your face by adding it to your regular cleanser for a deep down clean.  *Note: This works great if you also suffer from Ezcema.  Add a thin layer of Vaseline after to lock in the mositure.

Honey Mask– is very healing and great for acne prone skin.  It will also reduce redness and swelling.  Mix with bananas or avocados for added benefits!

Fresh Aloe Mask – from the plant is antibacterial, healing for acne, & reduces redness and swelling.  This will also help increase the rate of your new skin cell turnover = fresh looking skin.  Cut the prickly edges off, slice open a leaf, apply all over your face.

Coffee Mask– will exfoliate to make skin feel smooth and silky.  It also improves blood circulation. Add coffee to a teaspoon of oil olive for a great mositurizing mask.  *Note: Put the grounds through a grinder until very fine.

*BONUS*

Advil Liquid Gel Caps - apply to a pimple to reduce swelling instantly! Many makeup artist use this in a pinch.

 Lemon Juice - is an natural exfoliant.  Add to any mositurizing mask for an added benefit.

Let me know how these work for you!  Feel free to add in a MacGyer mullet to any of these tips or tricks. We won't judge you!  Don't forget to share &

Love, Jules
